Edge of Infinity

Alone we stand, on the edge of infinity
infinitely alone.
When the blade comes down, we are but singular organisms
we have no bonds
we have no ties.
We stand alone.
In the true juices of what we are
we must stand on our own
and we must melt into ourselves.
Do we revel in the darkness
or crumble under gravity
do we slip into the deep
do we lose everything we ever thought we were?
Does everything we ever worked for, faught for,
does it amount to nothing?
How much of a beating can you take on your bones
when all of your skin is shattered..

Swimming

I'm going swimming in a sea of my own
a sea of few people, of cold hearted stone
I'm going diving in the depth of the deep
where the pressure is crushing and the little lights sleep
I'm going searching in corners of rocks
for my hopes and my dreams that got lost on the docks
And I am collecting the hope and the love
I'm taking it with me to blue skies above

Fruits That Grow in Vulnerability

There is a great difference between successfulness and fruitfulness. Success comes from strength, control, and respectability. A successful person has the energy to create something, to keep control over its development, and to make it available in large quantities. Success brings many rewards and often fame.
Fruits, however, come from weakness and vulnerability. And fruits are unique. A child is the fruit conceived in vulnerability, community is the fruit born through shared brokenness, and intimacy is the fruit that grows through touching one another's wounds. Let's remind one another that what brings us true joy is not successfulness but fruitfulness.
